Finally back with a new kit. Gabi has done it again by making a gorgeous layout for us to follow along and create our own version. Her latest kit, Moments Captured, uses a bunch of products that create a layout that can be used for all sorts of photos. Gabi uses an adorable photo of foxes but I am thinking it would also make a great masculine page for the boys/men in our lives.
See for yourself….
It was fun to play a long. Not too crazy on mixed media – a bit of Distress Paint that was easy to paint on as a wash in the background. Al the elements just easy to work with and makes for one fabulous layout.
Here’s a look at the sample I made. The chippie word set does come with another word “Perfect”. You can add on bonus page or alter the main page layout.
Hope you like. We will be working on another Rachelle Sigurdson kit real soon.
New products coming in very soon… 49 and Market of course as well as Prima!!!! We’ll keep you posted just as soon as we have it all posted.
Rachelle Sigurdson has another kit for us! I must say I am a bit partial to this one as I was VERY honored that she used a photo of my daughter. And you bet this one is hanging proudly in my home for all to see! Before I ramble on, have a look for yourself at Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful….
This Blue Fern Studios paper is one of my all time favorites. It’s just beautiful and soft. We hoarded it here at The Scrapbook Diaries buying up their last packs. Rachelle plays off the rose gold tones and created this spectacular layout filled with trinkets and layers. She achieved this look with the use of one Twinkling H20 watercolor – Amber Bronze. When you purchase the kit you will get 4-pages of directions showing you how she achieves different looks with just the one color and some mediums. Of course, be sure to read full product description to see what is and is not included in the kit. You can find all details here.
I often get the question “how do you store your pages?” As I mentioned above this one is hanging in my home. It’s not the only one – I hang most of my layouts these days. With the bulk of some layouts on top of the fact that we sometimes spend a long time making them, why not share them with everyone who comes in to your home? They seem too precious to me to put away in an album but maybe that is just me.
And on that note, I want to show off how Rachelle created the frame for this layout…
Arent I lucky??? It really is nothing short of stunning!!!
Because we were so impressed with his, we decided to do something a little different for us. We are offering an “add-on” package. It’s not really everything you need but it’s some key parts. The add-on includes the flowers, 2 packs of Ivy Corners and the various beads used on the front. We do not sell shadow frames because of their size and being they are fragile. You can pick one up at Amazon or at a local chain craft store easily enough. We also wanted to keep cost down so we didn’t add the extra chippies and stencil Rachelle used. You can use some left over pieces from the kit or you can skip. You Can find information on the “Add-On” here.
Hope you think as much of this one as I do! It is certainly a keepsake. Thank you Rachelle!!!!!
I should also take a moment to mention we posted a BUNCH of new Scrapiniec pieces of chipboard. These are gorgeous! The detail and designs for their latest release made me giddy. 🙂 Here’s just a few…
Afren;t they beautiful? These are the white chipboard – delicate but the perfect accent for so many projects.
What’s coming? Hmm.. We have some adorable flair badges from Cut2Luv, brand new ScrapFx pieces and some cool 7Gyspies embellishments.
Next kit – A special treat from Tina Ollett. She made a design team project a while back that she has redone with video instruction for us.
Hello!! Seems like it has been a while since we have posted a kit from the very talented Gabrielle Pollacco! Good things come to those who wait!!! Gabi’s latest kit for us is another beautiful layout filled with little details that make this one really stand out. Who knew I needed that Dusty Concord Distress Ink I have had for years and never used? Love how the color packs a punch!
Could that photo be any cuter? 🙂
The kits is filled with the pieces Gabi used to make this layout and access to an online tutorial where she shows us step by step how to recreate our own. If you guys have been buying Gabi’s kits for a while now, please note that she talks in this video!! Yes – always love to hear our designers voices!
In addition to Gabi’s page, I made a bonus…
There you have it! Hope you like it as much as we do!!!
In addition to Gabi’s kit, I should note we’ve been busy adding new products to the store! And by we, I mean Chloe. If you are wondering who Chloe is, she’s that stunning beauty in Gabi’s layout. This much needed help means that you’ll be seeing more and more new products being added on a consistent basis. As you know I like to shop. been busy ordering so many fun new things will be coming in soon enough. Chloe makes sure we actually get it on the site so that you in tern can buy it.
Products recently added include the amazing Carabelle Studio stamps and stencils. These cling stamps feature eclectic, collage elements that make interesting background for any of your projects. My favorite is the 12″ edge stamps. How cool is that – use in snips or use the full length against a border on page.
In addition to the stamps – we also got our hands on some of the Brand New Distress Oxide Inks from Tim Holtz/Ranger. Wondering what this is about and why you need another Distress Product? Here you go, right from the horses mouth…
Delaina Burns is back with another beautiful layout for us! Once again, Delaina’s tutorial is filled with great ideas for creating a page that really pops with detail. Some great tips and tricks thet you can use over and over on your projects with supplies you have on hand.
So soft yet so powerful with the pop of soft red. I for one love it! Hope you do too.
One of the tricks she uses in this kit is to create her own butterfly embellishments. If you don’t already have a fabulous butterfly stamp set or just can’t get enough butterflies in your life, we recommend Gerry’s Butterfly Set or Gabi’s Butterflies are Free. Both sets are just perfect additions to any stash of stamps that can be used over and over.
As always, read the roduct description for complete details of materials and direction included (Online Tutorial).
Here’s a look at what the extra supplies in the kit can be used to create (or of course your own rendition)….
Great mix of papers and colors!
In addition to Delaina’s kit I want to point out that we FINALLY added the supply of Mini Twinkling H20’s we have on hand. So many of our designers use these to pop color in to their pages and projects. Sometimes you might only need one or two for a kit so seemed high time we make them available to you for whatever your needs might call for. They are pretty cheap and go a long way. We will work on adding more and more of these types of products.
We also have a bunch of sales going on and with any luck, more coming. We haven’t formally announced it yet but we will be moving this month. We NEED MORE SPACE!!!! As you can imagine we are growing and with that, we need to work on new systems and space for making all the pieces fit. To do this we are thinning out some stock. So check out the sales here. Once the deals are gone, they will be gone forever!
Plenty coming. I know we just posted a kit from Gabrielle Pollacco but we have 3 more coming. Wasn’t out fault really. 🙂 Gabi was kind enough to let us make kits for some of her other design work. We’ll post all on Saturday, August 6th!!! She has created an amazing layout for Maja Design using the Summertime paper collection. We are turning that video tutorial in to a kit and because the line is so amazing, we are also offering it in the opposite color scheme! So 2 color choices for a similar kit! Plus Gabi was busy earlier in the summer and made a special layout for Dusty Attic. Both Gabi and Dusty Attic have agreed to let us make some kits so we will post that one as well.
She is back with a new Kit!!!! Gabrielle Pollacco brings us another fabulous kit in her signature purple and green color combination. This time she mixes up some Blue Fern Studios papers and combines the Deja Vu collection with Autumn Anthology….
Magical! Am I also just a little prejudice? Maybe. I am honored that Gabrielle used a pic of my little munchkins. This was out holiday card photo and it works so well with the color combo right? Certainly my Ultimate Photo! 🙂
Thank you Gabrielle!
As always I had a great time following Gabrielle along on her video tutorial. the kit comes basic and complete. Not much of a difference in the two – just the Purple Rain Creameez Watercolor Pot from Shimmerz to add the highlighting/shading. Gabrielle also uses Peeled Paint Distress Ink for the green on the Ivy. I didn’t include in the complete version as I figured so many probably already have. You can of course add it extra as we offer it in the Mini Ink Pad. Other green inks will work equally as well.
With some added papers handsome more flowers and chipboard…. Here’s a sample of the bonus page I came up with…
Love how it compliments Gabrielle’s page. I should have added in to directions that I had to change up my process a bit. The Meg’s Garden background paper has a coated finish which does not allow the watercolor to seep in so I just left it alone without added color. I fussy cut elements from the Blue Fern paper. With the remaining piece of paper (a grayish color), I cut out a large photo mat and painted the Purple Rain over the entire piece to create the purple for the base of my photo mat. Great little trick for blending in the colors you need on your layout.
So there you have it! Hope you like as much as we do!
More coming in the days and weeks ahead. We got a huge box of Dusty Attic chipboard and will be adding to the store very soon. A lot of fun designs! New kits… Too many to even know where to begin. We will have a mini album kit from Delaina Burns and another kit from Rachelle Sigurdson very soon!
Wishing everyone a happy, healthy new year. To kick things off we have two brand new kits from the oh so talented Rachelle Sigurdson. I swear this woman can’t sleep. She has been posting so many layouts on her blog and various Facebook pages – be sure to follow her because her work is AMAZING!!!!
Today we have two new kits. First up… Be Happy. This kit features papers from Blue Fern Studios along with a load of Dusty Attic chipboard pieces. Rachelle’s kits do NOT come with video tutorial but we do include color photo directions so you can follow along and be inspired by Rachelle’s creativeness.
Along with Rachelle’s featured layout, we included a few extras. Here’s a look at my bonus sample…
The kit comes with so many wonderful pieces from Dusty Attic. Jennifer Hedger has been so kind as to create these custom sheets for us which does curtail the price. But it’s just not a Rachelle Sigurdson layout unless it has LOTS of chipboard! 🙂
We normally post one kit at a time but Rachelle has been busy and we have lots of kits coming from her. We decided to pair it with the next kit because both use the same color base of Twinkling H2O colors. Should you wish to purchase both kits and need the colors, we recommend that you purchase the Plus or Complete version of Be Happy (it uses two additional colors of Silks paints) but only buy the Basic version of Believe since you will already receive the colors needed. I try to simplify things but never seems to work to that way. 🙂
On to Believe… Words can’t do justice so here it is….
This kit like the one before has a custom sheet of chipboard from Dusty Attic. Well in fact, not one but two 12×12 custom sheets of Dusty Attic!!!! The layers and texture on this one just make you dream of a snowy day. The sheets include pieces from the following Sets: Large and custom Small Wreath With Berries, Mini Holly Set, Postage Stamps, Music Flourish #2, Baubles #4, Snowflakes #2, and More. Plus a Full Pack of Mini Dots. We even added more pieces so I could do a bonus page….
I had so much fun!!!!
As stated before, the colors used on this one are the same as Be Happy. If you want to purchase this kit alone, feel free, we did add a complete version so you get the colors needed.
Hope you like. We have lots coming from all your favorite designers. We will also e heading to California later in the week to attend CHA! should be a good time and excited to load up on some brand new products! Will keep you all posted!
Make Kosugi is back with another shabby chic layout that is beautiful as always. This beautiful layout features some of the bright papers of the Frolic Collection from Blue Fern Studios yet Maiko tones them down to a pastel masterpiece.
As usual, Maiko adds small details that all make up so many pieces of the puzzle to make it really special.
You can find all kit details here. Be sure to read the full product description as we are offering a basic, plus and complete version of the kit. Only a few things aren’t included and are pretty basic and most likely in your stash. When you purchase the kit, you will gain access to Maiko’s How-to Tutorial showing all of her steps.
In addition, we added a few extra pieces so you can make a second layout. Here’s a look at my bonus sample…
Had fun but then again I usually do when working on our designer kits. What’s not to like?
Lots coming.. next kit from Pascale B. It got pushed back because I didn’t have one or two things but we are on track now and hoping for Friday. After that… we’ll have more kits from Rachelle Sigursdon and Gabrielle Pollacco.
Thanks for checking in. Hope the holiday season is a joyous one.
Happy Monday!!!! Can you believe it is Monday morning and I am prepared to post a new kit – on time? Shocking I Know but it is true. And this one… AMAZING (aren’t they all?)! I love autumn and any hint of it! Gabrielle Pollacco brings us a fabulous layout which is perfect for any occasion. But with mushrooms, burlap and owls, well, it speaks autumn to me! Autumn Anthology, the collection of papers used for this kit has to be one of my favorite collections. Filled with beautiful layers and colors… just awesome. You are sure to see several kits using it as we can’t get enough of it!
Love it? Of course you do! It is beautiful! and I should add – oh so fun to follow Gabrielle along on her online tutorial to make your own! The details… Every little bit adds to make this a perfect layout. Read the description of products included in the kit. I think the Black Cherry Soda Creameeze from Shimmerz is the perfect match! You might not need the complete kit – if you purchased Captured Harvest in the past, it used the same North Star Stencil from The Crafters Workshop.
I really had so much fun. Think you can tell by my spin on the bonus sample? In looking at the collection papers, I didn’t really see another similarly colored paper to use so I risked it and went with a white based paper and hoped for the best. Well – the Creameeze blended it perfectly! LOVE LOVE LOVE….
In addition to this beautiful kit, we also have three new stamp sets from the ever talented Gabrielle Pollacco….
Can you see the possibilities now?????
I also realized in my rush last week with a sick child on my hands I forgot to post about the 3 new stamp sets we added tot he store last week from another fabulously talented designer, Marta Lapkowska….
I am sure you’ll b seeing both stamp sets used quite often on works from both Gabrielle and well as Marta and our other designers!
Thanks for stopping in. More kits coming. This time from Pascale B., Elena Tretiakova, Maja Nowak and more! New products… just saw the new winter line from Maja Design which you know we will be getting and as always more chippies in route at any given time.
Di Garling has been a busy woman posting all sorts of beautiful layouts. Her latest kit for The Scrapbook Diaries, Happiness Is This is just that, beautiful. Di mixes some beautiful pastels and textures to create a lovely layout.
Like so much of her work. Di packs in the texture for a stunning layout. When you purchase the kit, you get the materials to follow Di along on her online tutorial (access code provided). Be sure to read the complete descriptions of prodcuts included. We offered this kit in a basic and plus version. Plus includes inks, mist and watercolor pod -basic does not. We didn’t include the stencil or stamp for a complete version because you can really use and small patterned stencil and a small text stamp. Of course we provide links if you want to add on.
As with most kits, we added enough materials to make a second layout. Here’s a pic of what I came up with…
Love these Handdrawn Flowers from 2Crafty – just wish I added thesinale flower closer to the stemmed one but such is life. 🙂
