I guess it is no surprise that Gerry van Gent is one of my favorite designers. Not only is she crazy talented but she has a heart of gold! So when I say Gerry… we are missing you… would you mind doing another kit? She replies – Of course!
Her latest creation for us features a bunch of 49 and Market products from the Cottage Life collection (I Have to say this is one of my all time favorite collections – I LOVE the colors in it!). But anyway – let’s get back to the kit… Gerry provided us with step-by-step color photos and direction. Yes, these are the clearest directions we have ever offered! Unlike myself, Gerry has a clear, level head and knows how to get directions across in a concise and precise manner. English may not be her first language but she does way better with directions than I do. So thank you for that Gerry!! 😉
Here it is…
Thank you Gerry!!! It’s just fabulous!
Another thing I love about this kit – is that it isn’t messy. Sure it’s layered with beautiful details that make it one to cherish but if you look closely there’s no gesso, no paint…. just a hint of some distress ink (not included). I can love a mess but sometimes… you just want to do your thing. This one allows you to move forward without waiting. I loved that this time (I love all our kits and sometimes a mess is fine or I don’t mind when a layout that takes a week to complete- all depends on my mood I suppose but with the holidays approaching – we don’t have all the time in the world right now). Have I ranted enough?
Using 2 more sheets of paper and just a few extra flowers, I pulled this bonus sample out…
Not too shabby if I do say so myself. In fact – it’s a favorite for now for sure!! I love these colors and that photo of my boys… well, makes a Mama’s heart sing even if I have used it over and over again on samples.
So I hope you enjoy this kit as much as I do. gerry’s work is always impressive and fun to follow along. She gets the wheels turning so you look at things in a new light.
Not sure what new products are scheduled to come in soon but we will have new kits from Gabrielle Pollacco and Pascale B. I know I have been promising that Pascale B kit… I promise it is coming soon. Gabi’s kit will of course be another fan favorite too – she uses pinks and greens in a delicate way that really packs a punch.
Tina Ollett debuts her first kit with us here at The Scrapbook Diaries. Get ready to sprinkle the fairy dust on!!! Memories is a beautiful layout filled with details to make it shine so bright! When you purchase the kit, you get access to Tina’s online tutorial. Tina shows us how to think out of the box to create elements that are perfect for our page even if they didn’t exist originally. Add that with lots of layered and fairy dust, you get this…
Admittedly Tina created this layout a while ago. The moment I saw it I knew we needed to have it as a kit. I just love the details.
Here’s a look at the bonus page I created with just a few added pieces…
Certainly a kit for all the fussy cutters out there. You know you love it! 🙂 Be sure to read full product description for differences in kit options so that you can purchase the kit that best suits your needs.
Thank you Tina!!
We’ve been busy posting products as they come in – a little of this, a l little of that. Best way to see new items is to just go to the shop page. Your screen should be defaulted to “sort by newness”, if not, you can always change the setting. If you do this right now you may notice just a few new things from the companies that appear (2Crafty, ColourArte, etc.). Truth is we got lots more, those are new products in the system but we’ve been updating stock on lots of sold out items.
What’s coming? We just got a box of Memory Box dies. Been a while since we added the to the store but these are so awesome you won’t want to miss. Lots of fabulous designs that are great for having a die on hand so you can create loads of fabulous elements to add to all your projects. Should be posted later today/tomorrow. Next up we have 49 and Market. Yep, you’ve been asking when are we adding it to the store. It’s coming. Hoping to have it all added by Friday, May 26th. That includes the new Sand and Sea collection as well as all the Floral Mixology flower packs. Also got notice that 2 huge boxes of Dusty Attic are in route! Hoping to have those posted next week along with another new kit!!!!
Rachelle Sigurdson brings a double-page kit for anyone seeking the perfect rustic background for your photos! The details are just amazing! The kit features the ever-popular Walking in the Forest papers from Maja Design along with a custom cut 12×12 sheet of Dusty Attic chipboard! As always. Rachelle’s layers make her pages beyond special and eye catching. See for yourself…
I know my love for this layout might top all others since Rachelle used pictures of my kids but I think anyone else can see the beauty too. 🙂
Please read complete product description for details. Rachelle’s kits are for seasoned crafters. Printed step-by-step directions included, no video tutorial. The step-by-step photos show layer by layer. Hand stitching optional but it does pack a punch doesn’t it?
Thanks for checking in today. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. Changing the clocks here in the states this weekend. Not really looking forward to it since it always seems to play havoc with kids but such is life.
I always love Delaina Burns work. She has a way about her layouts that just put a smile on my face. Her latest kit for us, Precious Moments, does just that. The colors pack a punch and the details are easy to follow to make each layer really count. Delaina’s tutorial is filled with great ideas for creating a page that really pops with detail.
The kit has just about all of the materials you will need but as always, we suggest you read product description for complete details of materials and direction included (Online Tutorial).
Having a lot of fun, I came up with this as a bonus page to go with the kit…
Can’t wait to go find the right photos to go with it – I’m thinking a series of pics I know I have somewhere of the kids from a 4th of July a few years ago. If only I can find them now. 🙂
Things to come… where to begin…
We will be posting some natural flowers you are going to want to stock up on. you’ve seen them on so many of our kits. It’s high time we make them available to order individually. We get there…eventually. 🙂
Next up on the roster will be a double-page spread from the ever-talented Rachelle Sigurdson. She’s created so many for us that I never know which to post when and am trying to space them out a bit so we don’t make you guys go broke. All stunning and FILLED with Dusty Attic chippies! After that we’ll have another card kit from Maja Nowak – queen of cards to me.
That’s it for me for now. Was fun playing for a bit to prepare this kit but back to work. Off to fill orders.
Rachelle Sigurdson is back with another kit for The Scrapbook Diaries (and a little secret – she is on a roll and will be having LOTS more kits coming very soon)! Anyway, back to topic at hand, her latest kit, Fly With Your Dreams. This kit is loaded with beautifulDusty Attic chipboard pieces as well as the very popular Autumn Anthology paper collection from Blue Fern Studios. As always, had a lot of fun working on this one. See for yourself….
Colorful and fun!
Unfortunately we did have to make a few slight product switches but they didn’t really impact end result at all. Please read full product description on product page for all details (some flowers and the shutters basically). Rachelle’s kits come with step-by-step color photos, no video.
I created a bonus page to go along with Rachelle’s. I flipped the color scheme around and actually used photos. 🙂 See for yourself…
Hope you like as much as I do!
Wait till you see what is coming next from Rachelle and our other fabulous designers. Next week, Pascale B. returns with one that packs another punch of color in all the right places.
New products trickling in so be sure to check in often.
Maja Nowak brings us another beautifully sweet layout. This one entities, Happy Together, mixes bright pink with a hint of minty blue. I love how Maja popped a bit of the light blue in to this page making it so versatile. I for one had a lot of fun working on this layout. Well I have fun on just about all of our kits. Who wouldn’t? It is one fabulous perk of owning this company – I get to work on all the kits. 🙂 Dream come true indeed. But enough of that…
Maja’s layout is filled with little tricks and tips without the mess and fuss of mediums. Sometimes we just need a break from all the goop and dry time right? 🙂
Beautiful right? One little note -the blue paper clip is not included in this kit. Forgot to tell Maja after her last kit that I included the whole pack in the last one, Happy Life. Maja’s kit comes complete with full step-by-step printed directions (no video). She makes it so easy to follow along! Thank you Maja!
And here’s my bonus sample….
It’s so rare I actually put photos in layouts I post. Only reason for this is I never seem to have enough time to find the right photo and can’t commit to one. But this layout… these colors… I have scrapped these pics before but still to do this day, one of my all time little photo shoots with the kids.
Again I am digressing from the point… 🙂 – All materials needed to complete this kit come included. Well, just about all. Only things missing from this one other than basic supplies (trimmer, adhesives, etc.) is a floral stencil and Pumice Stone Distress Ink. You can easily swap out for products you have on hand 9if you don’t have these) or add them on as they are linked in product description.
So there you have it… another beautiful kit by the talented Maja Nowak!
New products are trickling in… Some Prima, some chipboard… We’ll get it up on the site as soon as we can. Lots of new kits coming as well. Next up, Di Garling (expected post date October 20th). After that, we’ll have kits from Elena Tretiakova, Frank Garcia and Gabrielle Pollacco. We’re also in the process of putting together the pieces from two new designers to The Scrapbook Diaries family. Should I tell you who they are? I guess if you’ve lasted this far and are still reading I really should share… Rachelle Sigurdson and Jacqeuline Moore! You are going to love what they have created for us!
So excited and sad about my post tonight. So excited as Stacey Young brings us another BEAUTIFUL layout filled with trinkets and goodies making it one to stand the test of time. In all it’s perfect kitschy-ness and oh so Stacey fashion….. Summer….
Amazing right? I love it. Stacey brings us the cuteness of Pretty Little Studios products along with the great color combo from Shimmerz and the oh so great Stacey style we know and love! I said am sad about tonight’s post as this one marks Stacey’s last kit with us. Aways sad to see a treasured designer go but it’s all for good cause. Stacey is pregnant with baby #4 so she is going to have her hands full pretty soon! Of course we wish Stacey and her family all our very best.
OK back to the kit… It’s filled with lots of pieces and flowers as always. We put just about all f it in to the kit with the exception of the stencil. Of course be sure to read full product description for all details and what is included and not. When you buy the kit you will also get access to the online tutorial taking you through Stacey’s process.
I for one had so much fun working on this (I always do). Can’t wait to take pictures of my daughter and hang this one up on the wall! Keeping with my fun, I used a bunch of the leftovers and added a few more pieces and flowers to come up with this bonus page…
So similar to Stacey’s but I couldn’t help myself. The color and cut-outs are too cute! Hope you like too.
Thanks for stopping in. I also posted brand new Blue Fern Studios papers and stamps but will save for a blog post tomorrow as hubby is saying – can we go to bed now! 🙂 Have a good night.
