Happy by Gabrielle Pollacco

Happy by Gabrielle Pollacco (MMK105)

I know you guys have been waiting because the emails have been rolling in… yes, we have just posted another beautiful kit from the amazingly talented Gabrielle Pollacco. Gabi’s sense of earthiness mixed with romance brings a unique look that is undeniably all her own.  Aren’t we lucky she shares her tips and tricks time and again so we can look like pro’s too?  I know I am.

The latest…. Happy

Beautiful, right/  And that photo.. well we should all be so lucky to have photos that look like that.

As is customary with our kits, I try to include a bonus sample for mixed media layout kits. So here’s mine… I followed along in the same manner Gabi did on the featured layout with the exception of a lot of fussy cutting. Thought the background paper I included needed a bit more so the Green Cat Story paper was the perfect addition. didn’t have enough on hand to include a full sheet so you get a half sheet but it’s more than enough to cut out a hole bunch of branches.  Anyway… here it is…

For this kit we included three purchasing options… Basic (materials only), Basic Plus (materials plus 2 oz. bottle of Shimmerz Moody Mauve) and Complete (materials, Moody Mauve and Corset Toper Stamp designed by Gabrielle herself). We know a bunch of you already purchased this stamp so wanted to make sure you’d be able to purchase just what you need.

In addition I do have a note to those of you who ordered Gabrielle’s last kit, Always… I inadvertently forgot to include the lavender background paper I used on my bonus sample. A great customer pointed it out to me. It was at the point about half the kits went out.  So please if I forgot to include in your kit, just add in comments when purchasing this kit and I’ll send along.

That’s about it for today. Coming this week… new Blue Fern Studios and frank Garcia’s last Live with Prima kit. Hoping to have his kit posted on Friday. Will see how the week progresses. Oh and Beauty and Grunge is coming.. the designers have been busy.  Think you will all like what you see.  Since it’s around the corner I guess I should let you know the remaining two designers… we previously announced Georgia Heald and Olga Heldwein as two of the four designers.  Today, I’ll let you know fellow Aussie Stacey Young will be part of the kit. And when Stacey’s involved you KNOW you will be getting a kit loaded with beautiful flowers.  Yes, there’s more flowers in this kit than we’ve ever seen before!  In addition we have a new designer added to The Scrapbook Diaries… Maiko Kosugi from Japan. Maiko brings another take on beauty and flowers even though she, like Stacey, both have boys. Bring on the flowers and  beautiful layouts for the boys!  I think you are all going to be really excited when we release all the details next week.

Where have I been?

Where have I been you ask? This has been one crazy week but all for very good reason. As I mentioned earlier in the week, we have a new designer joining us at The Scrapbook Diaries.  Between working on her project and filling orders, I’ve been a busy lady.

Anyway… back tot he topic at hand.  Our newest designer… If you love 7Dots Studios as much as I and follow their design team, then you should be familiar with Elena Morgun.  If you are not familiar with her, get to know her! She is amazingly talented and we are beyond lucky she has agreed to do some projects for us.

After scrolling through her blog you can see just how amazing she is and the fact that she can make a must-have album. Well ladies and gentleman… She did just that for us. Her first project is an incredible Album.  The 8 video tutorials will take you through how Elena created the 5 page turns as well as created the binding and cover. This Album is a make from scratch masterpiece. Give it as a gift or hold on to it yourself… one thing is for sure… it is a special project.

I was hoping to have the kit in its entirety ready to be posted today but I don’t.  I want to make sure I have all the pieces in place and post it properly.  We will have it in the store on Monday but because I didn’t want to leave you in any more suspense, here I am posting about it. And why not tease you a bit…

Here’s a preview of the album which features Prima’s latest collection, Time Traveler as well as a bunch of other Prima goodies…

Amazing! So much for to work on this album and put it together from scratch. Invaluable lessons on how to make your own album.  This kit will have it all – the fabric, chipboard for covers, card stock, pattern papers a plenty not to mention the Blue Fern Studios chipboards and Art Anthology mist and Sorbet.

Please check back Monday for all the details!

Have a great weekend.

PS – We are pulling it all out and have yet another new designer for The Scrapbook Diaries to announce next week.  She hardly needs an introduction as you will immediately recognize the designer when you see her layout!
