Maja Nowak has another shabby chic card kit for us! You can find a slew of beautiful cards posted on Maja’s blog. Like her first card kit for us, the kit comes complete with materials to make the three cards shown along with step-by-step color photos/directions. Maja details it all in an easy to follow manor.
Beautiful and perfect for any occasion. Well any occasion you want to share something special with those you care about.
A close up at the cards…
The kit comes with all the pieces and trinkets shown. Well just about, be sure to ready full product description for the details.
Thank you Maja!
Upcoming stuff… One day this week I will finally get to posting the new pieces we have procured to add some unique elements to your pages. From vines to flowers and more. In addition we will be posting a new kit from the fabulously talented Di Garling. A layout that pops and mesmorizes. So check back soon!
So excited to announce our first card kit and from the ever talented Maja Nowak! Maja is always posting beautifully layered cards on her blog. I for one know I need to make more cards than I do. Admittedly, I don’t make any. Well I’ve been inspired! Thanks Maja!

Beautiful, right? Perfect for so many occasions or just to say hello to someone special. Please read complete product description for all details.
As always we have lots in store for the coming weeks. More kits and more products! So be sure to check in often.
Maja Nowak brings us another beautifully sweet layout. This one entities, Happy Together, mixes bright pink with a hint of minty blue. I love how Maja popped a bit of the light blue in to this page making it so versatile. I for one had a lot of fun working on this layout. Well I have fun on just about all of our kits. Who wouldn’t? It is one fabulous perk of owning this company – I get to work on all the kits. 🙂 Dream come true indeed. But enough of that…
Maja’s layout is filled with little tricks and tips without the mess and fuss of mediums. Sometimes we just need a break from all the goop and dry time right? 🙂
Beautiful right? One little note -the blue paper clip is not included in this kit. Forgot to tell Maja after her last kit that I included the whole pack in the last one, Happy Life. Maja’s kit comes complete with full step-by-step printed directions (no video). She makes it so easy to follow along! Thank you Maja!
And here’s my bonus sample….
It’s so rare I actually put photos in layouts I post. Only reason for this is I never seem to have enough time to find the right photo and can’t commit to one. But this layout… these colors… I have scrapped these pics before but still to do this day, one of my all time little photo shoots with the kids.
Again I am digressing from the point… 🙂 – All materials needed to complete this kit come included. Well, just about all. Only things missing from this one other than basic supplies (trimmer, adhesives, etc.) is a floral stencil and Pumice Stone Distress Ink. You can easily swap out for products you have on hand 9if you don’t have these) or add them on as they are linked in product description.
So there you have it… another beautiful kit by the talented Maja Nowak!
New products are trickling in… Some Prima, some chipboard… We’ll get it up on the site as soon as we can. Lots of new kits coming as well. Next up, Di Garling (expected post date October 20th). After that, we’ll have kits from Elena Tretiakova, Frank Garcia and Gabrielle Pollacco. We’re also in the process of putting together the pieces from two new designers to The Scrapbook Diaries family. Should I tell you who they are? I guess if you’ve lasted this far and are still reading I really should share… Rachelle Sigurdson and Jacqeuline Moore! You are going to love what they have created for us!
It has been weeks since I have managed to pull my act together but rest assured we are getting there!
Happy to report that Maja Nowak has a brand new kit for us! This one is filled with sweet, delicious details that make it the PERFECT layout for outdoorsy fun….
Adorable right? I love it! Maja does a great job of adding details without the fuss and muss of overdoing the mediums. There’s a bit of inking with chalk inks and she creates the white fishnet using Gabi’s Dandelion Stamp Set and white embossing powder. Other than that, simple detail and beautiful products – well of course mixed with Maja’s style and flair.
Following the feel and look of this layout, I made a bonus in similar style. Of course ask my hubby and he said Maja’s is so much better than mine. 🙂 I guess it’s good news mine is just a sample for what you could create with the extra pieces in this kit. 🙂
A bit blurry on the photo… will need to fix that. Also not the purple and orange used to paint the kites was nothing more than some extra mist I had lying around for a little contrast. Just painted it on like a watercolor.
Hope you like. You can find all the details here. Also note that Maja’s kit does NOT come with video access – printed directions only. These directions are quite comprehensive.
In addition we updated our supply of Blue Fern Studios chipboards. We restocked about 30 pieces that were previously sold out.
Coming later this week… another kit from a brand new designer to The Scrapbook Diaries… the one and only Marta Lapkowska. In addition we have lots of products to list…. products from Dusty Attic and Prima.
Maja Nowak (aka Oliwiaen) is one of those designers who fills her layouts with lovely layers and details that make for a beautiful end result. Her latest kit, Dream, does just that! The kit contains just about all the items you need (basic supplies, brown ink and Georgia’s Spread Your Wings Stamp Set are just about the only things missing).
There is NO video direction for Maja’s kits but I have to admit….. Usually our designers create a video tutorial and I therefor convert their instruction in to written direction for those who might not have access or easy referral… Not sure why I do this but we do and will continue to do… Anyway – back to the point I am TRYING to make… Maja writes out her own directions and provides step-by-step pictures. Her directions are the BEST we have ever put out – so comprehensive and thorough. And a little irony for us – She’s Polish – English is not her first language – she blows me out of the water for grammar and clarity. So thank you Maja for that and to all of you who put up with my crazy misspellings and whatnots (trying to get better and take the extra minute to auto correct). 🙂
Moving on to the reason for this post.. the kit…
Beautiful right? Love that picture as well!
With the left over scraps and a few other odds and ends, I put together a bonus sample for you (no instruction included – sorry). I basically swapped out the light and dark pink papers to switch it up for a different look. Here it is…
So there you have it. hope you like! No more kits this week. New products coming in daily. I fact we just got our first shipment of Embelliscrap from France. Beautifully detailed chipboard pieces which will really make a statement on your projects. We’ll get them up in the store soon. Kits next week… Olga Heldwein and Maiko Kosugi!
Maja Nowak (aka Oliwiaen) is back with another beautiful layout for us. She mixes up some tans from Maja Design papers along with the pop of teal. Filled with textures and pretty little details, “You make Me Happy When Skies Are Grey“, is now available as a kit. The kit contains just about all the items you need (basic supplies, brown ink and Gabi’s Label stamp are the only things missing). The contains step-by-step photo directions that are the most thorough directions we’ve ever put out. Maja has detailed all steps so it’s easy to follow along.
What did I tell you? Pops with that teal, right?
Using just one extra piece of paper for the base and a few flowers, I was able to create the bonus layout…
The kit includes a small jar of Silks paint and a chalk edger for coloring the chipboard grid and title but otherwise doesn’t have a whole lot of mixed media elements to it. The layers speak for themselves. It was nice to put together a layout without having to wait for mediums to dry or worrying about warping paper. Don’t get me wring, I love those type of layouts too but this time, I just enjoyed the process and was able to do it in a lot less time.
new products…. have I mentioned before a “palette” of Prima is coming? I might have mentioned it once or twice but the effect has not been lost on me. A PALETTE! Where am I going to fit it all? None the less kind of exciting that I get to rummage through all the boxes and ooh and agh over all of it.
Just arrived – Dusty Attic. I updated some out of stock items but have a whole bunch I need to enter in to the store. Hoping to get to it later today or tomorrow.
Once again we are bringing a new designer on to the line-up of amazingly talented international designers for our kits. Maja Nowak, also known online as Oliwiaen, has a beautiful style that allows layers to shine through. We welcome her and hope you enjoy her works as much as we do.
Her first layout/kit for The Scrapbook Diaries brings together her favorite color combo of mint/teal and black. As you can see the bit of black really packs a punch and makes this a versatile about for so many themes and events.
Maja used our ever popular Texture Stamp from Gabrielle Pollacco. This set has been used in more kits than any other set we have. I am sure you’ll see it in even more down the road. Who doesn’t love a brick walls, water droplets and a leaf? Maja also chose to use the Butterfly Collage I designed that was just officially released at CHA through The Crafters Workshop. Yep you read that right. I know, crazy to think but I designed a stencil that was produced by the most amazing stencil company out there -CRAFTERS WORKSHOP! Still reveling it as I am sure you can tell by words. Should also point out it might look similar to some of you. Those who purchased the November Beauty and Grunge Mega Kit got a sneak peek at that stencil and already have it in their stash! But let me not totally digress… back to this kit….
Maja’s beautiful clustering mixed with the stamping and stenciling make this a layout perfect for delicate photos or for those adorable boys in our world like Maja featured. This kit comes complete with step-by-step photo directions (no video). Back to my ramblings… I must say Maja’s step by step is so detailed with great write-ups as to each step it is fool proof if you ask me (don’t hold me to it if you mess something up) :). To see a complete list of products included, visit the product page here.
With just two more sheets of paper and a few flowers, I made this bonus sample following Maja’s direction…
I didn’t want to copy exact so I skipped the circle stencil element but think I probably should have gone heavier on my stenciling in hindsight. Obviously to each their own, just my thoughts. Still had fun making it and love those little butterfly cut outs from the Nature’s Garden paper from Prima.
Thanks for checking out our latest kit and welcoming Maja to the team.
What’s yet to come? Oh I don’t know where to begin….
Website – we are revamping the site over the next few weeks. you’ll see a fresh new look with increased product search functionality. As we continue to grow so will the types of products we carry. We’ll add a sidebar so you can scroll through the various types of products we carry as well as breakdown product collection so you can view easier.
Kits – I am knee deep in projects that are lined up. Our designers are probably wondering why I haven’t posted their kits yet. I will get there. Need more time! Who doesn’t, right? We have layouts kits coming from Nadia Cannizzo, Elena Tretiakova and Gabrielle Pollacco. Not to mention I still have the amazing 7Dits Album, Smile, that Elena Morgun has created for us. Her 8-part video details each and every step associated with creating pages, assembling book and designing the cover of this 8″ x 11″ album. Have I forgotten anything? Don’t think so but who can keep track of it all?
Products – I have been very busy ordering it up around here. We have Blue Fern Studios and Crafters Workshop coming very soon. New Ranger expected end of this month. Then comes February and I have no idea where it’s all going to go… Prima (and A LOT of it), Wycinanka, ScrapFX, Dusty Attic, Lemon Craft and more! Oh almost forgot but one of things coming relatively soon which I for one am counting down for is the new Memory Planner System from Heidi Swapp and Simple Stories Life Documented Planner. Can’t decide which one I want but know one of these will be staying with me. Like the sophisticated style Heidi Brings but think the Simple Stories one will will me over as there’s so many options and fun little post-its, clips, etc. Maybe bold colors will be better for me since I clearly need things to stick out and hit me in the head or I forget. We shall see.
Clearly rambled more than I have ever done. Wow – never came remotely close to google’s 800 word blog post requirement – I am so close at 783 – Need to get there people. This will be a first – hope you don’t mind baring with me – who is to even say you have followed me this long! 🙂 There… just reached it!
have a great day! Check in soon and let us know what you think of the new website. Drop us a note if yu have any suggestions for the site or products you’d like to see us carry.
