19. from Kasia, aka Czekoczyna

So excited today is here and we can unveil the fabulous layout designed by none other than Kasia Krzymińska (aka. Czekoczyna).  We’d also like to congratulate Kasia on the guest designing spot for Prima this month.  She fits right in with their design team at inspiring everyone on all the great products Prima makes.

19. Layout by Kasia

This new kit is loaded with goodies!  From my new favorite, Tim Holtz® Distress Stains, to Glimmer Mists, this kit packs it in so you can create a masterpiece layout.

When you purchase this kit, your confirmation email will include a password to access the instructional video.  The 25-minute video shows you the process Kasia went through from start to finish.    Here is my rendition…

19 TSD Reproduced Layout

I should point out that I forgot to use the Butternut Squash mist prior to taking this picture of the layout.  It does soften up the look a lot as the shade blends beautifully with the color of the base paper.

Mixed Media kits include a variety of mediums and stamps to help you create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.  These can be used over and over to create additional layouts and projects.  To show you just how easy it is to add an extra sheet of paper and a few embellishments, we’ve added a bonus layout.  The additional products (not detailed below) are used in conjunction with the leftover scraps from Kasia’s layout. Here’s a pic of the bonus page…

19 Bonus LayoutWorked out perfect for me that the Prima paper used had “Mr. Daniel” written out in such a nice font.  Once I take a good picture of my husband, Daniel, will have to be sure to add to this layout. 🙂  Of course if you don’t have a Daniel, there’s plenty of great pieces to highlight. Again, I forgot the Butternut Squash when the photo was taken and again, it blends beautifully with the base paper.

Hope you like this kit as much as we do.

New Mixed Media Kit from Kasia

I am so excited to be writing this blog post right now. If you haven’t figured it out by now, this mixed media business has taken me by storm.  After seeing the Live With Prima video I last posted about, I had to contact Kasia Krzymińska (aka Czekoczyna).  She is absolutely amazing. Her sense of color and tips and tricks never cease to amaze me.

The even more exciting part is that after a few emails, she agreed to do some exclusive layouts for the Scrapbook Diaries.  I am humbled as I am in awe of her to say the least.  The first layout, Mixed Media Layout 14., is nothing short of breathtaking in my opinion.  Of course you can see for yourself.

Replicated Layout

When I saw the layout I thought, no way can I do that. Let me preface this by stating I am NOT a mixed media artist or an artist by any means. I do like to scrapbook and do think I may have some talent there.  I guess I better or I have no business having a scrapbooking business. But that is neither here nor there.

Back to the point… with little experience in mixed media, I managed to make this layout based off of Kasia’s video.  Not to tout my own horn but I think it is pretty good and plan on hanging it in the living room.

Kasia ia able to break down the nitty gritty.  It’s a great video filled with tips and tricks.

The kit comes complete with products to recreate this layout and create another bonus layout. Once you start misting, you will never want to stop.

Even more exciting, more to come from Kasia. Can’t wait to see what she does next!  In the meantime, you really should check out her blog: http://czekoczyna.blogspot.com for more inspiration.
