Some people just have it, that Timeless look!! In true Di Garling fashion, she brings it with her latest kit.
A beautiful masterpiece! Di gives so many tips and tricks in the accompanying video (access granted with purchase of kit). This is one of those kits that shows you how to alter products on hand to work for your color scheme. For example, Di creates her own unique embellishment by stamping leaf images on to green cardstock and then fussy cutting them. We didn’t have any green cardstock on hand to stamp some images for you so we substituted with plain green leaves. But if you have Gabi’s Texture Stamp Set and a scrap of green cardstock… you will be in business to do the same!
Be sure to read kit details for what is and isn’t included in the kit as well as they two buying options.
Thanks Di for a fabulous kit and layout!!!
With a few extra pieces and some left overs from Di’s page, I pulled this together. Quite happy if I do say so myself. Hope you guys like too…
I used the same techniques Di showed us. The left over pieces had a bit of a greenish grey look to them so I took that question to alter the color palette. I will note that I used “Iced Spruce” Distress Ink instead of the Faded Jeans on the background papers.
We recently added the Brand new Rusty Autumn paper collection from 49 and Market. It’s the prefect collection to highlight those amazing Halloween and Autumn photos! Hope you guys like it!!!
Also new to the store is a series of ScrapFx chippies. Here’s a little look at just a few….
You can view our complete selection of ScrapFx here.
So what’s next? Good question. 🙂 We’ll continue to add kits and new products as they come in. Next kit in the works is from the very talented Rachelle Sigurdson! You know it will be packed with Dusty Attic chipboard.
How Sweet it is indeed! Di Garling packs a punch with the vibrant pink and green tones used in her latest kit for us. Di always manages to make her layouts come to life. Take a look for yourself…
Between the LemonCraft papers and the green Prima flowers… totally beautiful!
Di shows us her process in the online tutorial (access provided when you purchase the kit). She adds a lot of details here and there to make her layout shine. Please be sure to read complete product description for details on what is included in which version of the kit. We try to include packages to give you only what you need and want.
In addition to Di’s page, I made a bonus sample using some leftover products and a few sheets of papers and a pack of brads (couldn’t help myself as I thought they went so well)…
You can find all details on the kit here. Thanks Di for another beautiful kit for us to play with!
What else is going on here at The Scrapbook Diaries? Always something but who can think? 🙂 We’ll have more new products coming soon – all those lovely 49 and Market products you’ve been asking for. Did you see we added over 70 new products from the Crafters Workshop the other day? Stencils and mediums to add so much to any of your projects.
New kits coming over the next few weeks – Rachelle Sigurdson, Nathmael and Gabrielle Pollacco. In addition we have a treat from 49 and Market Design team member Tine Ollett. She creates a beautiful layout using the Flower Fairies of Spring collection.
That’s it – happy Super Bowl to those of you watching!!!
Happy to report we have a new kit from the ever talented Di Garling. Leave it to Di to create a layout that lends itself to highlight any choice photos. With a little of this and a little of that, Di does her thing and creates another gorgeous layout! This one features some papers from Blue Fern’s Serendipity Collection.
We are offering the kit in 3 versions…. Basic, Plus and Complete. The Plus kit includes the 2 shades of Inglingz from Shimemrz that Di used, Tarnished Treasure and Olive U Truly. The Complete version included those as well as a Victorian Velvet Mini Distress Ink Pad and Gabi’s Texture Stamp Set. Not sure if any of you out there don’t have the stamp set yet but figured we’d offer. 🙂 In addition, you get a full pack of the Fine Word Set of chippies from 2Crafty which are some seriously great words to have on hand for any other projects.
Here’s a look at the bonus page I did….
The paper here is from the Seaside Collection. So many Blue Fern papers just coordinate from one collection to another making it easy to interchange. Love both these layouts and how they turned out!
In addition to Di’s new kit, we just posted some brand new pieces from 2Crafty. Always fun to feast your eyes and crafty hands on new chipboard pieces.
You can find a complete list of available 2Crafty pieces here.
More to come… New Kits from Pascale B., Nathmael and Gabrielle! New products from Dusty Attic, Crafters Workshop and more!
Did you see new beautiful kit from Di Garling? This lady never dissapoints, she is a master in making most pretty and adorable pages for everyone.
This magical layout is perfect for any sweet occasion! With purchase of kit, you will get access to Di’s online tutorial so that you can follow along and see all the steps taken to make this beautiful layout.
She used papers from UHK Galleries and lots pretty chipbards!
This is a true feast for every mixed media lovers.
As always I created a sample page from left pieces and few additions.
What else is new? We have lots for you….
In the last two weeks I was very busy with adding new products to the store! Make sure you will have a look at super pretty chipboards from 2Crafty Chipboards! Frames, flourishes and much more!
Alas… A NEW kit!!!!! I know I have been on hiatus lately – all for good cause. We have been working hard on a brand new manufacturing company. All to finally be revealed this week!!!! Add the new wholesale business to an existing business and a family… forgive me for the lack of kits as of late! 🙂 But rest assured -we are getting back on track with everything.
Today we get to show you the latest from Di Garling, You’ve Left an Imprint! We think this layout is sure to leave an imprint. In true Di fashion, it’s loaded with textures and colors perfectly fitting for so many occasions. Di takes us on her journey through a video tutorial. You get access to this tutorial once you purchase the kit.
As always Di really knows how and what to mix together to come up with a stunning page! Thank you Di!
Following Di’s lead, I pulled some Maja Design papers and picked up with the purple range. Here’s a look at the bonus sample I made…
As typical these days, we made a basic and complete version of the kit to suit your needs. We included the Hydrangea Chalk Edger in the basic kit since it’s spot on for color and distressing the edges of papers. We left the vintage Pink Chalk Edger as part of the complete kit since many of you might have it from previous Di Garling kits. We also left the Sketch Grid Stencil to of the kit as many of you might have from previous kits or can substitute for a similar textured stencil. For Di’s layout and design, any similar type texture would work just the same!
More kits to come… next up a Gerry van Gent layout! I always love Gerry’s kits as there’s always something new and outside the box type thinking that makes a layout pop! Also have layouts and kits from Pascale B and Delaina Burns. And once again. they will not disappoint! I must say – we have some rocking designers!!!!! I should also mention we will be debuting a new designer to the Scrapbook Diaries line up… Nathmaël. If you are not familiar with Nathmaël, you might want to check her out as you will want to know her. 🙂 In fact, you don’t want to miss out on any of our new kits coming soon!
And a little more on our new business venture… we’ve had a lot of interest from other stores who want to carry our stamps and we had some ideas of new paper ranges and flowers so…. we are opening a wholesale scrapbooking business. Of course consumers will be able to buy the complete range through The Scrapbook Diaries but now your favorite local stores and other online retailers will be able to carry them as well! So be sure to check back later this week for the full announcement and details!
Di Garling is back with an awesomely dramatic mixed media layout that pops! Nothing subtle with this one. The power of red speaks like no other and Di uses it to make a statement!
Just spectacular if you ask me! Di’s mixed media kits are a great way to learn some fabulous tips and tricks to create unique layouts. As always, her online tutorial details the steps she took for layering all the pieces together. Be sure to read full product description for included materials.
Following suit, I created the following bond page. Only real difference was the background paper I chose had a hint of goldish-brown so i threw in the tan which created a different effect. Love them both and happy with the slight contrast….
Only thing I would have changed about the bonus is maybe creating the cluster up a bit more. If I hadn’t blued down the title so well I would have flipped it. Somehow seemed a bit better positioned but just my two cents in retrospect.
Didn’t write out a post yesterday regarding the new flower picks and vines we added to the store. Finally got around to adding these fabulous pieces. You have probably seen some of them on out kits. They create a natural element for a unique embellishment on your page. Can you ever have enough trinkets?
We have a bunch of styles and colors available. You can find the floral picks here under twigs and the wreaths can be found under vines. Why not wreaths and picks? I don’t know. 🙂
LOTS in the works over here!!!! More kits coming and LOTS more product. In fact have we mentioned our new company yet? Diving in to the wholesale end of things as there’s just too many pretty things we want to make available to the market. Stay tuned for information in the coming weeks. And just to tease you a little bit more – Gabrielle Pollacco was pack at the drawing board – we’ll have 4 new stamp sets from her real soon!
That’s it for me for now. Have a great day. Happy holidays to those celebrating this weekend!
Di Garling has another beautiful layout. This one comes just in time for the romantics out there. Di’s elegant page brings a bit of pink and florals. As always Di’s video details all the steps she incorporates to make this beautiful page…
With just a bit of added color and gesso… so many things are possible.
As always inspired by Di, I came up with this bonus sample…
We only offered this one as a basic kit since the added mixed media elements used are fairly generic in that many of you probably already have in your stash of supplies. Di uses a small script stamp and a chicken wire stamp (from Gabi’s Crackle Texture Set). In addition she uses a text stencil from 13Arts which we have unfortunately sold out of. You can use another small imaged stencil or script to replicate the look. Two recommended replacements are Crafters Workshop’s Art Is Stencil or Dusty Attic’s Creative Script.
Hope you like!
Still to come – that promised kit from Rachelle Sigursdon. I was just waiting on some snow paste which arrived today. Lots of other kits coming from our other fabulous designers!
New products… We received a box of new ScrapFx. Lots of beautiful titles and many more! More Prima coming. We will have all those yummy paints from Finnabair!
New kit here at The Scrapbook Diaries and rom none other than the one and only Di Garling! The latest kit, A Moment Captured, is a beautiful grungy layout filled with details and textures.
With papers from 7Dost Studios and rich colors custom made, Di creates a layout that once again packs a punch! Learn how she does it. By purchasing this kit you’ll get materials used as well as access to her online tutorial detailing her steps. Be sure to read full product description for what is and is not included in the kit so you can be sure to get al the pieces you need and nothing more.
Following Di’s lead, I made the following bonus. Looks so different with a blue background but still love how it came out. See for yourself…
In addition to Di’s new kit I also managed to post some new products from 2Crafty that have made their way here from Australia. And some just in time for the holidays…
Although December is filled with holiday shopping and festive parties, we are keeping busy. Expect to still see lots of posts and new kits unveiled. In fact I am so behind I could post 2 kits a week for the next month. Let’s see if I can keep up. Doubtful but we shall aim high. 🙂
Di Garling has been a busy woman posting all sorts of beautiful layouts. Her latest kit for The Scrapbook Diaries, Happiness Is This is just that, beautiful. Di mixes some beautiful pastels and textures to create a lovely layout.
Like so much of her work. Di packs in the texture for a stunning layout. When you purchase the kit, you get the materials to follow Di along on her online tutorial (access code provided). Be sure to read the complete descriptions of prodcuts included. We offered this kit in a basic and plus version. Plus includes inks, mist and watercolor pod -basic does not. We didn’t include the stencil or stamp for a complete version because you can really use and small patterned stencil and a small text stamp. Of course we provide links if you want to add on.
As with most kits, we added enough materials to make a second layout. Here’s a pic of what I came up with…
Love these Handdrawn Flowers from 2Crafty – just wish I added thesinale flower closer to the stemmed one but such is life. 🙂
