Have you been thinking we have been quiet lately? I suppose we have. Between lazy summer days and the fact that we have an amazing kit to debut… we’ve been busy.
The one and only Gabrielle Pollacco has done it again! As always this woman hits it out of the park! When Gabrielle does a Maja Design page, you know it’s going to be beautiful. Between her craftiness and their papers… you really can’t go wrong. In addition she mixes it with some Dusty Attic chipboard for one amazing layout!
Can you take it!!!! Stunning right? And get this – watching Gabrielle’s video, you too can make this layout look like this! I am NOT – and I can not stress enough – NOT a painter. I was so intimidated with the fancy paintwork on the Baby Banner. Low and behold Ms. Pollacco walks you through it so you too can make it look perfect!
I know I have said it before but this one was REALLY A LOT OF FUN! I enjoyed making this layout so much. In addition I made a coordinating bonus page to match! Here was the trick… do you have a boy or a girl in your life? Can’t do a bonus page showing boy/blue because if you only have a girl or a boy… So… We made an all girl kit and and all boy kit. But before I get in to all that, here’s the bonus sample I made…
I love it! I love them both so much! The word set is great – so many potential title mixes. I do have to give a shout out to Jennifer Hedger over at Dusty Attic… She totally showed me how to make those Baby Shoes looks too cute! (and btw- YES we have all those new pretty designs on order).
the kit details…
Girl Kit – Tans and Pink of course! The kit features the tans and pink papers from Maja and uses Victorian Velvet Distress Paint Dabber from Tim Holtz/Ranger (available in the Complete kit only) along with a bunch of pink flowers.
Boy Kit – Tans and Blue of course! The kit features the tans and blue papers from Maja and uses Stormy Sky Distress Paint Dabber from Tim Holtz/Ranger (available in the Complete kit only) along with a bunch of blue flowers.
Just to clarify… Gabrielle made a video creating the GIRL featured layout. I followed suit and created the BOY version. When you purchase the kit you will get the video tutorial for the girl layout and printed directions showing my “remade” version of the boy. The Maja papers are amazing – they work seamlessly together. The tans are the same for both and the blue/pink colors are just about the same so it’s easy to follow along.
Just occurred to me I haven’t shown the boy pages yet. Here they are…
If I do say so myself, I think I did a great job remaking Gabrielle’s page using the Boy/Blue elements. 🙂 Only difference I see is that I should have inked the edges a bit more and the blue pearls weren’t here in time for photoing my page. Rest assured my page will have the pale blue pearls and kits will come with the pearls. I also should have dotted my hearts on the baby banner like Gabi did.
And the bonus sample…
When you see these pages side by side, they really do make quite the statement in terms of the flexibility/adaptability – not sure if the right word.
Think I cover all my bases about this kit… regardless of boy or girl version, you will get access to Gabi’s “girl” video. Printed directions for the kit you ordered – some photos on the boy version are taken from my remade version.
Feel lit I am rambling here. 🙂 A few notes….
1 – The Sweet Dreams kit will begin shipping August 5th. We’re waiting on a few odd and ends to complete the kits but will be fully stocked as I know this one is sure to fly off the shelves.
2 – We will be closed August 15-22. Will fill orders and rely to emails upon our return to the shop in a first come first serve basis.
OK, that’s it for me for now. We will be back. We have more new kits and more new products coming soon. Kits from Pascale B., Keren Tamir as well as a few more of your favorites. New products boxes from ScrapFx, Blue Fern Studios, 2Crafty and Dusty Attic are all in route to us. Prima… lots coming!
The only thing left for me to do is make another boy set so my second boy doesn’t feel alienated. 🙂
