Some people just have it, that Timeless look!! In true Di Garling fashion, she brings it with her latest kit.
A beautiful masterpiece! Di gives so many tips and tricks in the accompanying video (access granted with purchase of kit). This is one of those kits that shows you how to alter products on hand to work for your color scheme. For example, Di creates her own unique embellishment by stamping leaf images on to green cardstock and then fussy cutting them. We didn’t have any green cardstock on hand to stamp some images for you so we substituted with plain green leaves. But if you have Gabi’s Texture Stamp Set and a scrap of green cardstock… you will be in business to do the same!
Be sure to read kit details for what is and isn’t included in the kit as well as they two buying options.
Thanks Di for a fabulous kit and layout!!!
With a few extra pieces and some left overs from Di’s page, I pulled this together. Quite happy if I do say so myself. Hope you guys like too…
I used the same techniques Di showed us. The left over pieces had a bit of a greenish grey look to them so I took that question to alter the color palette. I will note that I used “Iced Spruce” Distress Ink instead of the Faded Jeans on the background papers.
We recently added the Brand new Rusty Autumn paper collection from 49 and Market. It’s the prefect collection to highlight those amazing Halloween and Autumn photos! Hope you guys like it!!!
Also new to the store is a series of ScrapFx chippies. Here’s a little look at just a few….
You can view our complete selection of ScrapFx here.
So what’s next? Good question. 🙂 We’ll continue to add kits and new products as they come in. Next kit in the works is from the very talented Rachelle Sigurdson! You know it will be packed with Dusty Attic chipboard.
Oh my… 3 months since our last blog post. Hopefully you didn’t think we were out of business. And hopefully you are following us on Facebook to know all the updates, comings and goings of products. But regardless, I am posting today because I have very exciting news…
As I am sure you know, I always love Pascale’s work. She just has such a way of melding colors and elements perfectly. This kit, Cherish Moment, is no different! In fact the colors were so expertly picked by Pascale – I mean spot on! If you are working with the Dreamscapes collection from 7Dots Studios, note that Rubilite, Mustard Green and Cedar Wood are the perfect accompanying Twinkling H2O colors! If you are getting this kit, you can of course opt for the “Plus” or “Complete” versions – both of which include these colors.
Have a look…
Does that layout speak to you the way it does me? I love it! And I think the accompanying bonus sample proves it..
Thank you Pascale! It was great fun to dive back in to one of your kits. In fact, Pascale has been busy -we will have another Pascale kit in a few weeks. My fault for not keeping up but we will get there. Next kit is from Di Garling.
New products continue to be added weekly. You can always check out our posts on Facebook.
As always Gabi mixes just the right elements to make for a masterpiece! She uses ‘Blue Patina Perfect Pearls’ from Ranger. This powder has hues that just make that blue area pop! In addition she uses the Sand and Sea Layered Embellishment pack to add detailed elements without the fussy cutting! This sheet packs A LOT of elements (actually 50 pieces in total – 26 epoxy coated bubbles and 24 shaped pieces).
I should also point out that Gabi uses one of the stencils she created for The Crafters Workshop. The Tile Mania stencil is one of my favorites for adding quick texture and detail! You can have a look at all of Gabi’s stencils and stamps here.
When you purchase the kit, you get access to the video tutorial where Gabi takes us through her journey in creating the page above. Thank you Gabi!
To create a bonus page, it didn’t take much more than a sheet of extra paper. The Layered Embellishments and Floral Mixology Pack pf flowers included in the kit really leave you with quite a bit to work with.
Here’s a look at my page…
So much fun working on this kit – yes I may be a bit partial but I hope you think so too!!!
Hope you enjoy!! We’ll be back soon with plenty more kits and products over the next few weeks. School is official out for the summer but kids are going to camp so hoping to be quite productive!!!
Tina Ollett debuts her first kit with us here at The Scrapbook Diaries. Get ready to sprinkle the fairy dust on!!! Memories is a beautiful layout filled with details to make it shine so bright! When you purchase the kit, you get access to Tina’s online tutorial. Tina shows us how to think out of the box to create elements that are perfect for our page even if they didn’t exist originally. Add that with lots of layered and fairy dust, you get this…
Admittedly Tina created this layout a while ago. The moment I saw it I knew we needed to have it as a kit. I just love the details.
Here’s a look at the bonus page I created with just a few added pieces…
Certainly a kit for all the fussy cutters out there. You know you love it! 🙂 Be sure to read full product description for differences in kit options so that you can purchase the kit that best suits your needs.
Thank you Tina!!
We’ve been busy posting products as they come in – a little of this, a l little of that. Best way to see new items is to just go to the shop page. Your screen should be defaulted to “sort by newness”, if not, you can always change the setting. If you do this right now you may notice just a few new things from the companies that appear (2Crafty, ColourArte, etc.). Truth is we got lots more, those are new products in the system but we’ve been updating stock on lots of sold out items.
What’s coming? We just got a box of Memory Box dies. Been a while since we added the to the store but these are so awesome you won’t want to miss. Lots of fabulous designs that are great for having a die on hand so you can create loads of fabulous elements to add to all your projects. Should be posted later today/tomorrow. Next up we have 49 and Market. Yep, you’ve been asking when are we adding it to the store. It’s coming. Hoping to have it all added by Friday, May 26th. That includes the new Sand and Sea collection as well as all the Floral Mixology flower packs. Also got notice that 2 huge boxes of Dusty Attic are in route! Hoping to have those posted next week along with another new kit!!!!
Rachelle Sigurdson has another kit for us! I must say I am a bit partial to this one as I was VERY honored that she used a photo of my daughter. And you bet this one is hanging proudly in my home for all to see! Before I ramble on, have a look for yourself at Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful….
This Blue Fern Studios paper is one of my all time favorites. It’s just beautiful and soft. We hoarded it here at The Scrapbook Diaries buying up their last packs. Rachelle plays off the rose gold tones and created this spectacular layout filled with trinkets and layers. She achieved this look with the use of one Twinkling H20 watercolor – Amber Bronze. When you purchase the kit you will get 4-pages of directions showing you how she achieves different looks with just the one color and some mediums. Of course, be sure to read full product description to see what is and is not included in the kit. You can find all details here.
I often get the question “how do you store your pages?” As I mentioned above this one is hanging in my home. It’s not the only one – I hang most of my layouts these days. With the bulk of some layouts on top of the fact that we sometimes spend a long time making them, why not share them with everyone who comes in to your home? They seem too precious to me to put away in an album but maybe that is just me.
And on that note, I want to show off how Rachelle created the frame for this layout…
Arent I lucky??? It really is nothing short of stunning!!!
Because we were so impressed with his, we decided to do something a little different for us. We are offering an “add-on” package. It’s not really everything you need but it’s some key parts. The add-on includes the flowers, 2 packs of Ivy Corners and the various beads used on the front. We do not sell shadow frames because of their size and being they are fragile. You can pick one up at Amazon or at a local chain craft store easily enough. We also wanted to keep cost down so we didn’t add the extra chippies and stencil Rachelle used. You can use some left over pieces from the kit or you can skip. You Can find information on the “Add-On” here.
Hope you think as much of this one as I do! It is certainly a keepsake. Thank you Rachelle!!!!!
I should also take a moment to mention we posted a BUNCH of new Scrapiniec pieces of chipboard. These are gorgeous! The detail and designs for their latest release made me giddy. 🙂 Here’s just a few…
Afren;t they beautiful? These are the white chipboard – delicate but the perfect accent for so many projects.
What’s coming? Hmm.. We have some adorable flair badges from Cut2Luv, brand new ScrapFx pieces and some cool 7Gyspies embellishments.
Next kit – A special treat from Tina Ollett. She made a design team project a while back that she has redone with video instruction for us.
Nathmaël brings us another fabulous kit filled with a little of this and a little of that to make up one fabulously free layout! Nathmaël is a design team member for Prima Marketing. Her work can be seen all over their Blog. We’re lucky enough to have her share some of her tips and tricks with us. For her second kit through The Scrapbook Diaries, she created a beautifully warm layout filled with yellows and gold, Beautiful.
Nathmaël takes us on her journey through an online tutorial (access given when you purchase the kit). You an find the complete product description here. Thank you Nathmaël!
As with our kits, I created a bonus sample using the leftover pieces and a few additions….
Not the best photo of my layout – very rainy here in New York. Makes me wish for a nice sunny day given all the yellow!
Hope you like it! I know it’s been a while since we posted a kit-seems I am saying that all the time lately. We have kits to come from all your favorites…. Di Garling, Gabrielle Pollacco, Pascale B. and Rachelle Sigurdson. Might even have to post a double kit from Rachelle. Will see.
And new products…. Chloe has been busy posting away with even more to come! Just added tot he site – brand new Dusty Attic and 2Crafty as well as replenishing on some of your favorites that we sold out of….. New mini Twinkling H20 colors – who doesn’t love those mini little watercolor pots? At $2.50 a piece, kind of can’t go wrong! In addition we have new 7Gypsies and Scrapiniec to add. Wait till you see al the Scrapiniec we have in stock and ready to go home with you! Should be posted next week.
Thanks for stopping in. Check back next week for more updates. Have a great weekend!
Hello!! Seems like it has been a while since we have posted a kit from the very talented Gabrielle Pollacco! Good things come to those who wait!!! Gabi’s latest kit for us is another beautiful layout filled with little details that make this one really stand out. Who knew I needed that Dusty Concord Distress Ink I have had for years and never used? Love how the color packs a punch!
Could that photo be any cuter? 🙂
The kits is filled with the pieces Gabi used to make this layout and access to an online tutorial where she shows us step by step how to recreate our own. If you guys have been buying Gabi’s kits for a while now, please note that she talks in this video!! Yes – always love to hear our designers voices!
In addition to Gabi’s page, I made a bonus…
There you have it! Hope you like it as much as we do!!!
In addition to Gabi’s kit, I should note we’ve been busy adding new products to the store! And by we, I mean Chloe. If you are wondering who Chloe is, she’s that stunning beauty in Gabi’s layout. This much needed help means that you’ll be seeing more and more new products being added on a consistent basis. As you know I like to shop. been busy ordering so many fun new things will be coming in soon enough. Chloe makes sure we actually get it on the site so that you in tern can buy it.
Products recently added include the amazing Carabelle Studio stamps and stencils. These cling stamps feature eclectic, collage elements that make interesting background for any of your projects. My favorite is the 12″ edge stamps. How cool is that – use in snips or use the full length against a border on page.
In addition to the stamps – we also got our hands on some of the Brand New Distress Oxide Inks from Tim Holtz/Ranger. Wondering what this is about and why you need another Distress Product? Here you go, right from the horses mouth…
Has it really been that long since our last blog post? WOW – got to get back on track. Speaking of… well sort of… I know it’s been a while since we posted a new kit. And to be honest while working on this layout this week, I though what am I thinking putting out a layout for those perfect snow moments? It was feeling like spring here in New York for a few days and then today… Today – SNOW! So maybe I really was on to something and deep down knew it!
Enough with the ramblings and on to this fabulous kit…
Rachelle Sigurdson brings us a winter layout that is perfect for any treasured photo. And while Rachelle layers this layouts with papers and chipboards, there’s no paint! OK maybe not a completely accurate statement – no colors – there is crackle accents and some snow texture so a bit of drying time from here to there but really not the usual mess so many of us have come accustomed to. I for one had a lot of fun following along on this one!
Don’t you love the rustic elements and all those snow capped branches?
And while no one can be outdone by Rachelle, Jennifer Hedger at Dusty Attic comes pretty close. That woman managed to pack all of these chipboard elements (and the ones on the bonus sample-plus even a few more I couldn’t fit on to the bonus page) in to 2 custom 12″x12″ sheets of chipboard. If you like winter and chipboard – this is simply a must have kit! Of course Maja Design papers for the season aren’t too shabby either. 😉
Here’s a look at my bonus sample…
SO MUCH FUN!
So there you have it, our very latest kit. Be sure to read the full product detail if interested in purchasing the kit. There is NOT a video tutorial along with this kit – written directions with step-by-step photos are provided.
What’s coming? A new company for The Scrapbook Diaries will be posted soon – Carabelle Studio – fabulous stamps and stencils from France. Very eclectic. think you guys will love them! We also have new Scrapiniec to add.
Next kit – Gabrielle Pollacco is back!!! Should be posting end of next week.
How Sweet it is indeed! Di Garling packs a punch with the vibrant pink and green tones used in her latest kit for us. Di always manages to make her layouts come to life. Take a look for yourself…
Between the LemonCraft papers and the green Prima flowers… totally beautiful!
Di shows us her process in the online tutorial (access provided when you purchase the kit). She adds a lot of details here and there to make her layout shine. Please be sure to read complete product description for details on what is included in which version of the kit. We try to include packages to give you only what you need and want.
In addition to Di’s page, I made a bonus sample using some leftover products and a few sheets of papers and a pack of brads (couldn’t help myself as I thought they went so well)…
You can find all details on the kit here. Thanks Di for another beautiful kit for us to play with!
What else is going on here at The Scrapbook Diaries? Always something but who can think? 🙂 We’ll have more new products coming soon – all those lovely 49 and Market products you’ve been asking for. Did you see we added over 70 new products from the Crafters Workshop the other day? Stencils and mediums to add so much to any of your projects.
New kits coming over the next few weeks – Rachelle Sigurdson, Nathmael and Gabrielle Pollacco. In addition we have a treat from 49 and Market Design team member Tine Ollett. She creates a beautiful layout using the Flower Fairies of Spring collection.
That’s it – happy Super Bowl to those of you watching!!!
