Hello!! Seems like it has been a while since we have posted a kit from the very talented Gabrielle Pollacco! Good things come to those who wait!!! Gabi’s latest kit for us is another beautiful layout filled with little details that make this one really stand out. Who knew I needed that Dusty Concord Distress Ink I have had for years and never used? Love how the color packs a punch!
Could that photo be any cuter? 🙂
The kits is filled with the pieces Gabi used to make this layout and access to an online tutorial where she shows us step by step how to recreate our own. If you guys have been buying Gabi’s kits for a while now, please note that she talks in this video!! Yes – always love to hear our designers voices!
In addition to Gabi’s page, I made a bonus…
There you have it! Hope you like it as much as we do!!!
In addition to Gabi’s kit, I should note we’ve been busy adding new products to the store! And by we, I mean Chloe. If you are wondering who Chloe is, she’s that stunning beauty in Gabi’s layout. This much needed help means that you’ll be seeing more and more new products being added on a consistent basis. As you know I like to shop. been busy ordering so many fun new things will be coming in soon enough. Chloe makes sure we actually get it on the site so that you in tern can buy it.
Products recently added include the amazing Carabelle Studio stamps and stencils. These cling stamps feature eclectic, collage elements that make interesting background for any of your projects. My favorite is the 12″ edge stamps. How cool is that – use in snips or use the full length against a border on page.
In addition to the stamps – we also got our hands on some of the Brand New Distress Oxide Inks from Tim Holtz/Ranger. Wondering what this is about and why you need another Distress Product? Here you go, right from the horses mouth…
Has it really been that long since our last blog post? WOW – got to get back on track. Speaking of… well sort of… I know it’s been a while since we posted a new kit. And to be honest while working on this layout this week, I though what am I thinking putting out a layout for those perfect snow moments? It was feeling like spring here in New York for a few days and then today… Today – SNOW! So maybe I really was on to something and deep down knew it!
Enough with the ramblings and on to this fabulous kit…
Rachelle Sigurdson brings us a winter layout that is perfect for any treasured photo. And while Rachelle layers this layouts with papers and chipboards, there’s no paint! OK maybe not a completely accurate statement – no colors – there is crackle accents and some snow texture so a bit of drying time from here to there but really not the usual mess so many of us have come accustomed to. I for one had a lot of fun following along on this one!
Don’t you love the rustic elements and all those snow capped branches?
And while no one can be outdone by Rachelle, Jennifer Hedger at Dusty Attic comes pretty close. That woman managed to pack all of these chipboard elements (and the ones on the bonus sample-plus even a few more I couldn’t fit on to the bonus page) in to 2 custom 12″x12″ sheets of chipboard. If you like winter and chipboard – this is simply a must have kit! Of course Maja Design papers for the season aren’t too shabby either. 😉
Here’s a look at my bonus sample…
SO MUCH FUN!
So there you have it, our very latest kit. Be sure to read the full product detail if interested in purchasing the kit. There is NOT a video tutorial along with this kit – written directions with step-by-step photos are provided.
What’s coming? A new company for The Scrapbook Diaries will be posted soon – Carabelle Studio – fabulous stamps and stencils from France. Very eclectic. think you guys will love them! We also have new Scrapiniec to add.
Next kit – Gabrielle Pollacco is back!!! Should be posting end of next week.
How Sweet it is indeed! Di Garling packs a punch with the vibrant pink and green tones used in her latest kit for us. Di always manages to make her layouts come to life. Take a look for yourself…
Between the LemonCraft papers and the green Prima flowers… totally beautiful!
Di shows us her process in the online tutorial (access provided when you purchase the kit). She adds a lot of details here and there to make her layout shine. Please be sure to read complete product description for details on what is included in which version of the kit. We try to include packages to give you only what you need and want.
In addition to Di’s page, I made a bonus sample using some leftover products and a few sheets of papers and a pack of brads (couldn’t help myself as I thought they went so well)…
You can find all details on the kit here. Thanks Di for another beautiful kit for us to play with!
What else is going on here at The Scrapbook Diaries? Always something but who can think? 🙂 We’ll have more new products coming soon – all those lovely 49 and Market products you’ve been asking for. Did you see we added over 70 new products from the Crafters Workshop the other day? Stencils and mediums to add so much to any of your projects.
New kits coming over the next few weeks – Rachelle Sigurdson, Nathmael and Gabrielle Pollacco. In addition we have a treat from 49 and Market Design team member Tine Ollett. She creates a beautiful layout using the Flower Fairies of Spring collection.
That’s it – happy Super Bowl to those of you watching!!!
We are so excited to announce a new kit from the fabulous Gabrielle Pollacco! I know a lot of you have been patiently awaiting news of this kit. Today is the day to rejoice!!! 🙂
Gabi uses a soft brown and purple palette mixed in with all of our favorite products to create a beautiful page that will be one to adore for years to come as it is timeless.
The Tarnished Treasured Inklingz is the perfect match for the Vintage Artistry paper from 49 and Market. And if you bought Di Garling’s last kit, ironically named Treasure, then you may already have this color. While these two kits use both the same word set (Fine Word Set 1 from 2Crafty) and Inklingz color, they are very different in color and composition. These two pieces are so versatile – can you ever have enough great chipboard words?
With the addition of Prills and stamping, we are offering this kit in basic, plus and complete versions. The plus kit includes the Inklingz Tarnished Treasure and Cat’s Eye Chalk Ink in Chestnut Roan. The complete kit includes those two pieces plus the I Can Not tell a Lilac Prills and Gabi’s Postcard from Paris Stamp Set. If you have some of these pieces and not others, you should be able to add them on a la cart.
As always (well just about always), I had fun playing with a bonus sample. Here’s my take….
Confession about a few things… I totally over painted the area around the photo mat so what to do? I added the “love” word vertically to try and compensate. Think it worked pretty well. Also had a little fun with the stems off the paper. The dainty Scrapiniec pieces mixed with the weight of the Prills and my not so careful approach left me with some of these strands that had come off other pieces. Personally, love how it turned out with the splash of color to that part of the page. Hope you like too.
And since it’s the holiday season upon us, we figured why not do something special to say thank you to all of our customers…..
So there you have it. You can find video links to Gabi’s sold out kits here. In the coming weeks, we’ll add other designer kits that have sold out and try to streamline the video access page. As we add more and more kits, it’s beginning to get a bit cluttered. Think the photo montage of layouts is a nice way to easily decide which video you’d like to watch.
We’ll have more before the year is over. New products in include the Gossamer Blue line from LemonCraft – hoping to have it added this weekend. We have new Mini Twinkling H20 colors to add and lots of chippies from all your favorite companies. In addition we have a special treat from Tina Ollett and more!
Pascale B., is back with another fabulous layout filled with mediums and technique! She brings us a mixture of the the natural look of wood together with a warm color palette. Perfect for showcasing so many of your favorite moments. Learn her technique by gain gain access to her online tutorial when you purchase the kit. Please read all details for full information.
The mix of orange and green on the brown background just works so well. To be honest, I was nervous at first about the colors – I love orange but never really use in scrapbooking I guess. I thought what if people don’t have a photo of the perfect sunset like Pascale had. Well was I wrong – as usual. 🙂 I chose a pic of my daughter holding a pumpkin and it was perfect!!!! Here’s what I did for the bonus page which had nothing to do with the orange and gold colors. Actually, I tried adding some blue color gelato to bring out their shirts but after making a mess of a few flowers I said, ah ha… you need the orange to work with the gold undertones and the techniques Pascale demonstrates in her video. In the end, couldn’t be happier with the result…
Love how it turned out and hope you do as well. Pascale is a mixed media expert and knows how to mix it all up for fabulous results. Thank you Pascale.
Please be sure to read full product description so you can see what is included in the different versions and chose what best suits your needs.
After working on this kit I realized we had a few kits using Gelatos. We’re bringing in the complete range of them and making them available on an individual basis. At $2.45 a stick, they’re a great way to add some color and pack a punch where you want and need. Expect them to be up on the site in the next day or two. We also have more new products that just came in which will be added tot he site… new LemonCraft and chippies from ScrapFx.We all need more hours in the day don’t we? We’l get there soon.
As for new kits coming…
Gabrielle Pollacco brings us another stunning layout featuring those lovely lavender pieces from Scrapiniec
Tina Ollett, one of the 49 and Market Design Team girls doe s guest spot for us here at The Scrapbook Diaries. Tina did a project for her DT assignment that we just had to turn in to a kit. She was gracious enough to redo it along with video tutorial so we can all enjoy.
Nathmael has been busy and we need to catch up. Not sure which of the 2 projects she’s turned in for the next one but both stunning!
That’s it for me right now. Hope you are all off to a good start for December!
Happy to report we have a new kit from the ever talented Di Garling. Leave it to Di to create a layout that lends itself to highlight any choice photos. With a little of this and a little of that, Di does her thing and creates another gorgeous layout! This one features some papers from Blue Fern’s Serendipity Collection.
We are offering the kit in 3 versions…. Basic, Plus and Complete. The Plus kit includes the 2 shades of Inglingz from Shimemrz that Di used, Tarnished Treasure and Olive U Truly. The Complete version included those as well as a Victorian Velvet Mini Distress Ink Pad and Gabi’s Texture Stamp Set. Not sure if any of you out there don’t have the stamp set yet but figured we’d offer. 🙂 In addition, you get a full pack of the Fine Word Set of chippies from 2Crafty which are some seriously great words to have on hand for any other projects.
Here’s a look at the bonus page I did….
The paper here is from the Seaside Collection. So many Blue Fern papers just coordinate from one collection to another making it easy to interchange. Love both these layouts and how they turned out!
In addition to Di’s new kit, we just posted some brand new pieces from 2Crafty. Always fun to feast your eyes and crafty hands on new chipboard pieces.
You can find a complete list of available 2Crafty pieces here.
More to come… New Kits from Pascale B., Nathmael and Gabrielle! New products from Dusty Attic, Crafters Workshop and more!
I Love Life and I love Rachelle Sigurdson’s works!!!! Are you like me? If so, this one is for you. It is no easy task or quick turn-around but I so enjoyed the process and results! Rachelle’s latest kit for The Scrapbook Diaries is FILLED with chipboard pieces. In fact you might not even notice all of them at first glance. You see all those tiny little flowers? They’re chipboard!
Can you take it? Love the details!!!!! Layers and layers of chipboard! In fact, Jennifer at Dusty Attic created 3 1/2 sheets of 12″x12″ chipboard that are so jammed pack. Pieces include….
Ivy Flourish, Heart Swirly, Lavender #2, Full Set of Barb Wire Frames, Vintage Frame #2, 2 Film Strips Small, Mini Chicken Wire, 2 Packs of Mini Blossoms, Grass Cluster #1, Foliage #2, and We Laughed (Rachelle used Claire’s name but not included), Doodads #5, String Frames, Extra Barb Wire Frame, 2 Birds of Paradise, Swirly Vine #5, Foliage #2, Hashtag Saying, Word Disk Love Life, Ticket, Feather Charm #4, Flower Layer Small.
There’s even a few extra pieces that could be used for a mother page. Chipboard pieces are covered in Silk paints and Crackle Accents… it all just works seamlessly together. I loved working on this kit! Hope you do too.
Also just to mention we posted the latest line of paper from Maja Design, I Wish.
I Wish is a collection of 18 double-sided papers filled with holiday and winter imagery perfect for the upcoming season. And is it just me or do those colors look like they will match the set of Silk Paints Rachelle pulled together for her layout? Actually yes they do – had to go check colors – perfect for these papers as well.
As for upcoming products and kits… We have kits coming from Di Garling and Pascale B. New chipboard from Dusty Attic and 2Crafty. We also have the new 7Dots Collections on order – expect them in the coming weeks.
Think that’s it for now. Certainly enough to feast your eyes on! Thanks for checking in.
I know, you might be thinking – am I seeing things? Two kits posted in such a short time frame? I know… I have been on it lately! 🙂 Just teasing. Seriously speaking though, I am happy we are back on track with things!!! Orders have resumed to the usual 24-48 hour turn around for the most part… Kits getting posted… new products coming in that will be posted soon. All good!!! Hope you are all back to normal and adjusting to weather changes, kids back to school, etc.
We are due to post some other designer kits soon but didn’t want to hold this one as it is beached themed. October is a GREAT time to get those beach photos printed and make those memories proud by showcasing them on some fabulous layouts!
Gabrielle Pollacco created not one but two layouts for this kit!!!! She shows us how to recreate her Captivating layout in an online tutorial as well as some pointers on how to make the Tranquil Moments layout. Gabrielle Pollacco + Seaside Cottage Collection paper from Blue Fern Studios… you can’t go wrong! See for yourself…
Such amazing details and textures!
Her second page, Tranquil Moments…
I for one am hanging these layouts up on the walls!!! In fact, will make a little 4 panel collage of the layouts. After all, I got to create 2 additional pages as well…
Of course as usual I do need to go find some photos and print them out!!! Hope you like as much as we do!! o much fun to do. and those Twinkling H20 colors are just a fabulous match and add to these papers – Beachouse Blue and Ancient Coin. Leave it to Gabi to find the perfect match!
What’s coming? Plenty! We have the brand new Maja Design collection of paper in stock – I Wish. Not only perfect for the Christmas season but winter as well – I LOVE the snowman images! Will be added to the site this week.
We will also be working on new kits from Di Garling, Pascale B. and Rachelle Sigurdson! So lots coming!!!!
WOW it has been entirely too long since our last blog post. Lot’s of changes and exciting things to come. Since that last post, we officially moved. We’re in a temporary hold so to speak as the official warehouse is being converted and set up. hoping to have it all done in the next few months. good news is we are back up and running and orders are pretty much all caught up on. Expected ship times are not back to 2-3 days out. We also have lots of fun new things coming in. More chippies, papers and embellishments!!!
Did I forget to mention kits!!!!!!! What would TSD be without our designer kits?
This of course brings me to the fabulous announcement that we have a new kit from the one and ONLY Gerry van Gent! Gerry is not only a fabulous designer but a good friend. If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting her, you just want to hug her. She has that way about her. Have I mentioned this before? Probably. 🙂
Gerry’s projects are ALWAYS filled with detail upon detail. Each element and technique she uses all add up to create a special page. I could watch her videos over and over. Each one, something a little different and something outside of the box. In addition to loving Gerry’s work and technique, I also have to say how much fun it was for me to work with the Flower Fairy™ papers as this was the first chance I have had.
Layers and details for sure!!!! And you can create any title that works for your photo as Gerry created her own banner with a printed out title and some scrap papers. Perfect idea when you don’t have the right title on hand!
With some left over cut outs and a few extra’s, I made this bonus page. Can’t wait to add the perfect photos because these layouts are sure to get hung up in my new office!
Oh so much fun if you are a fussy cutter lover!!! I find it so therapeutic and hope you do too. These papers are just begging to be cut out and layered.
Thank you Gerry!!! Great layout and kit!!!! Can’t wait for you next!!
What else is going on here? Always something it seems like. We have more Dusty Attic and 2Crafty that recently arrived. Will be sure to get posted online real soon. We will also be ordering Maja’s new holiday line for sure. I can never get enough Maja Design papers. New kits – I am so behind!!!
