Adhesives:
There are many different types of adhesives. For photos, use a glue stick or adhesive tapes. For large surfaces or small embellishments, use liquid glue. Tip: Liquid glues can get a bit messy. Play around with several different types to explore the differences and find out what works best for you.

Craft Knife:
A short, thin blade on a pen-like body. Go for one with a cushion, non-slip grip. Blades are very sharp but provide a great deal of precision. Replace blades as they become dull.

Fine-Tip Scissors:
I’m obsessed with scissors so I might not be the most objective person for this one. Small scissors work great for trimming as needed.

Marker for Journaling: Can’t go wrong with a black, fine-tip marker for journaling. Use a pigment pen for writing on photos. If you tend to use a lot of dark colors and want to make an impact, the only white pen I recommend is the Uni-ball Signo pen.

Paper Trimmer:
There are guillotine style trimmers and rotary. Both are good, again, comes down to preference. Be sure to get one that will trim a 12” x 12” sheet of paper. Fancier rotary models also include scoring blades (will mark the paper for easier folding without cutting). Not necessary but a nice feature.
